demonstrate a level of understanding of sensors, actuators and appropriate interfacing
technology to enable the development of a mathematical model of the dynamic behaviour of each
component.
LO3 – apply step and frequency response techniques to analyse the dynamic performance of
aerospace control systems.
Assignment Brief:
This test is to assess your ability to use theoretical methods to mathematically model systems and
subsystems and analyse control system performance using step and frequency response methods.
To prepare for the test you are encouraged to use lecture slides and tutorial slides available through
Studynet as well as on line support notes also available on Studynet. NB at the end of each section of
the course notes are some problem sheets that will be of a similar standard as the test questions.
You will also find on Studynet a copy of the feedback slides given to last years students for the
equivalent test that will show you the type of questions that could be set and also how I would have
answered the questions.
