write 10 points from the readings that are ‘take-aways’ – main arguments made by the author, what you learned, what struck you, and/or how it connects to the theme of the week or the other readings. What do you see as important? What empirical data backs up the claims? What are the limitations, and what was left unexamined? This is an exercise helping you engage in a close reading and dialogue with the texts, and you may think of it as an extension of your own personal reading notes. The points may not be quotations, but must be in your own words. You are expected to have at least one point on every reading in your journal entry. The structure for the journal entry should be numbered points 1-10. Please use full sentences. Each point should be at least 3-4 sentences.
