Last slide (s): a list of the resources you used in the MLA style of making citations (either the 7th or 8th edition will work). Remember the resources to assist
you at the end of the CMST 260 Writing Guidelines.
Scroll down to see the rubric below these directions. I will be using this rubric for grading your final PowerPoint submission.
Your draft will be graded on the thoroughness with which you approached it.
I will be grading on the quality of your content and your presentation. Points will be deducted for the following:
1. Poor quality content. Take time to look for information that will give you and your peers more information than can be found in Chapter 3.
1. Too much wording on your slides. Use KEY words only. There should not be sentences or paragraphs, but carefully chosen key words (bullet points and
sub-bullet points). Words need to be minimal but key words should be chosen that will have impact on your viewers so that they can remember them. The
only exception is the quote at the end.
2. Grammar, spelling and syntax errors. These stand out immensely on slides.
3. Too few images. Images are powerful in PowerPoints. Most of the time it is important to cite them but for this assignment, you do not need to. Just do not
use images that have a copyright as part of the image. They should be appropriate and memorable. These can include graphs and charts as long as they are
simple and appropriate. As stated above, do not embed videos as these take up too much space on Canvas. Use the urls as to where these videos can be
found. List a SUMMARY in key words of the content in your video.
4. You may need to compress the slide presentation. If you are having trouble uploading your submission, the size of it is too large. You need to find a way to
compress it. Google how to do that if you do not already know.
