QUESTION 1a
Read through the following stanzas that were extracted from a poem entitled
Blasphemy by KK Shoro and then answer the questions that follow.
Too many believers’ intestines are exploded and left to dry;
The fruits of holy genocides.
Too many worshippers die,
Believing that detonating their insides
Will free another’s mind.
I am tired of seeing babies turned into refugees,
Needing to run and hide in the hills
Because they’re being killed
Whether or not they’re ready to believe anything
Before you hate me because I’m Christian,
terrorise me because I’m Muslim,
doubt me because I’m pagan
or fear me because voodoo is my religion,
can you look at me as if I were human?
