Probably the best indication that a technician’s customer service is above standard is that the users are consistently satisfied with the results provided. In your opinion, what are the best traits for a computer service technician to have that would show high-quality customer service as well as reputable quality in his/her work? Having good customer service skills is important for a business to engage customers by building strong relationships and keeping loyal customers. “Probably the most significant indication that an IT technician is doing a is that customers are consistently satisfied”. (Andrews, West, & Dark, 2017, pg. 546). Customers want to feel that they are able to relate to the technicians they work with. Computer service technicians work with different clients on a daily basis. Having good customer service skills is a great way to successfully complete a job. First impressions are important. You should arrive on time and have a professional appearance upon arrival. Honesty, telling the truth and integrity, doing what is right are also good customer service traits. Always be dependable performing agreed-upon actions, and responsible for your actions. Technicians will come into contact with diverse races, religions, and traditions, therefore having the ability to be sensitive toward other’s feelings and emotions are important. Communicating clearly and effectively is important. Being assertive without being pushy or bossy and respectful maintaining a positive attitude is good communication customer service skills to possess.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says, “Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus”. (NIV) Working in customer service you will have good days and bad days. I work in customer service and before beginning my workday, I pray for guidance and leadership when dealing with different situations.

Ephesians 6: 7-8 (KJV) states, “With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.” I know when I receive great customer service it is because the person made me feel good about them helping me. Just as the Bible teaches in Ephesians everything we do should be for the Lord it is important in customer service. I have worked customer service and many times I have come across people who are quite rude but as my job it is important to fix the problem and to make the customer feel satisfied at the end of the day. I think some major qualities in a great customer service technician is patience, kindness, and a servants heart. The most important for me would be a servants heart. As we are told to do everything as unto the Lord in customer service the greatest quality that one can show is how can I help you solve this problem. In customer service it is not always easy to have this attitude as it can be a stressful job and also many times customers can be irritated and rude. As a customer service technician showing I will do everything possible I can for you is a great way to help one feel satisfied and also if the problem can not be resolved going above and beyond to help the customer find a solution or a contact to someone who can solve the problem.
