This summative assessment requires a 2000 word report on the most recent special measure to be implemented – prerecorded cross examination (Youth Justice and Criminal Evidence Act 1999, Section 28) In your report (that must be presented in report format, since this is not an essay) as well as critically discussing the rationale for the implementation of this Special Measure, your report needs to focus on different forms of available evidence to provide diverse discussion points (please see below) and should summarise, critically discuss and evaluate the usefulness of this special measure. As a result of your evaluation, you will need to include recommendations for change. In your report you will need to include: a. Relevant aspects of the law in England and Wales (be specific about which law you are referring to) b. The official guidance c. Reports resulting from the trialing of this new procedure d.
