Description:
A group of two/three students will pick a counterterrorism campaign and profile the campaign. Proper citations are required and students should use at least 3 books and 3 academic journal articles. Total words: 1,000.
Background:
• Describe the terrorist group.
• What is the group fighting for?
Terrorist campaign:
• How does the group operate? What is its most common method of attack?
• What does the group want to accomplish? What are the group short and long-term goals?
Counterterrorism campaign:
• How did the government respond to the terrorist campaign?
• What type of (soft or hard) tools did the government use?
Outcome:
• Assess the counterterrorism campaign. Was it successful?
• Did the government manage to defeat the terrorists?
