Project Contract Management and Legal Issues
How to read a contract or agreement and implement legal issues in a project?
The purpose of the Contract Management and Legal issues is to,
1- Review and analyze the sources of law( UAE)
2- Learn and Research about changes, errors, omissions, construction disputes and dispute resolution systems
3- Discover and apply contract law, contract breach, contract termination, and contract interpretation. A study of how this subject is covered in the PMBOK is also presented
4- Study Legal rules like Agency, contract formation, contract interpretation, breaches, fiduciary duties, subsurface uncertainty, disputes, arbitration, compensation etc.
Required:
Select a real contract in your area of discipline. As the Project Manager demonstrate your knowledge by criticizing and finding some gaps in the contract and implement more legal issues missing in your project contract. Prepare a report that include the following:
• Introduction to the contact
• Contracts and Their Formation
• Remedies for Contract Breach
• Contract implementation
• Contract Disputes and Resolution Systems
• Method of Payments, Compensation and Owner Obligations
