Activity ‐ Find a Great Campaign!
Now you have worked your way through the theory on marketing communications, let’s bring it alive by
finding some great examples of campaigns that have really worked hard to integrate their
communications with a theme, hook or creative idea.
Your task of the week is to find an effective international integrated marketing campaign that has
achieved its objectives and tell us all about it and why it was so successful. We can then learn from a
variety of examples covering a range of industries and countries.
Step 1
Find a campaign to write about. Research can be done via use of library resources e.g. the WARC
database, or trade magazines online like Campaign and The Drum, YouTube, or industry awards entries.
Step 2
Identify what media and associated strategies were used in this campaign. What were their objectives?
How did they measure success? What did they achieve? Why did this work?
Step 3
If there is any campaign material like an advert to watch, provide a hyperlink.
